Photography wasn't something I always planned to do. It didn't begin with expensive cameras or a dream of turning it into a business. It began because I wanted to see the world differently.

For years, I struggled with social anxiety without fully understanding why. I was always the person standing quietly in the background, feeling more comfortable observing than being the centre of attention. Crowds could feel overwhelming, conversations exhausting, and situations that seemed easy for others often felt like mountains to climb.

Then everything started to make sense.

Learning that I am autistic gave me answers to questions I'd spent years asking myself. It didn't change who I was, but it changed how I understood myself. I realised that what I'd often seen as weaknesses had actually shaped the way I experienced the world — and that those same traits had become my greatest strengths as a photographer.

Photography gave me a voice without needing to say a word.

When I'm behind a camera, the anxiety quietens. Instead of worrying about being noticed, I'm focused on noticing everything else. The expressions people don't realise they're making. The excitement before a car starts its engine. The atmosphere before a concert begins. A child laughing without knowing anyone is watching. The details that most people walk straight past.

That's where my photography comes from.

I don't just look for beautiful pictures — I look for genuine moments.

Every photograph has a story, and I believe the most powerful stories are the ones that happen naturally.

Over the years, that passion has grown into The Bailey Perspective — a photography business built around authenticity, creativity and storytelling. Alongside my role at Ford Motor Company, I've had the privilege of photographing automotive events, concerts, festivals, community celebrations and family moments across the UK.

One of the most unforgettable milestones in my journey came when I was invited aboard the Goodyear Blimp for a flight over London — an invitation-only experience that very few people ever get to enjoy. Standing thousands of feet above some of Britain's most iconic landmarks, camera in hand, reminded me just how far photography has taken me. Moments like that are more than photographs; they're memories I'll carry for the rest of my life.

But for me, photography has never been about collecting impressive experiences or ticking off famous events.

It's about people.

Whether I'm photographing a supercar at sunrise, the atmosphere of a packed stadium, or a quiet family moment that will never happen in quite the same way again, I approach every session with the same mindset:

Tell the story honestly.

I know what it feels like to be uncomfortable in front of a camera. Because of that, I never expect people to perform. I don't believe the best photographs come from forcing smiles or carefully choreographed poses. They come from creating an environment where people can simply be themselves.

Some of my favourite photographs are the ones that weren't planned at all.

  • The glance between two people who didn't realise I was watching.
  • The excitement in someone's eyes as they see their dream car.
  • The emotion at the end of a concert.
  • The proud smile of a parent watching their child.

Those are the moments worth remembering.

Photography has also become a way of giving back. Through personal projects documenting communities, local events and everyday life, I want to preserve stories that might otherwise be forgotten. Years from now, I hope people can look back at my work and remember not just what something looked like, but how it felt.

When you book me, you're not just hiring someone to press a shutter button. You're choosing someone who genuinely cares about preserving your memories, understands that every client has a different story to tell, and believes the most meaningful photographs are the ones that make you feel something every time you look at them.

Thank you for taking the time to visit The Bailey Perspective.

I hope my work gives you a glimpse into the way I see the world.

And if my photography can help tell your story next, I'd be honoured to be the one behind the camera.

Signature experience

Invited by Goodyear to fly on the blimp.

In a career highlight, I was personally invited by Goodyear to fly aboard their legendary blimp and photograph the world from a perspective almost no one else will ever see. It's the kind of access that shapes how I chase every image — always looking for the angle nobody else has.
